After the dismal and lackluster performance of the indomitable lions of Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire, there are reports that Rigobert Song will be dismissed by the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT.

According to CFOOT, the decision has already been made and Rigobert Song will be dismissed from his role.

Appointed on February 28, 2022, to replace Toni Conceição, the former indomitable lions defender has been in charge of the team for 23 matches, recording 6 wins, 8 draws and 9 defeats.

Meanwhile, his predecessor, Toni Conceicao had played 24 matches recording 14 victories with six draws and just three defeats.

According to reports, the decision to part company with Song is due to Cameroon’s dismal performance at the AFCON where they were eliminated in the round of 16 by Nigeria as the team failed to impress in the entire competition.

Raymond Domenech, George Elokobi, Tom Saintfliet and Achille Webo are names rumoured to take over from Rigobert Song.
