Trabzonspor’s dramatic 4–3 comeback victory over İstanbul Başakşehir on Matchday 13 of the Turkish Super League delivered a night of high drama for Cameroonian football fans, with André Onana and Olivier Kemen both heavily involved at the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium.
Onana, starting in goal for Trabzonspor, endured a tense and action-packed match as his side came from behind twice to secure all three points. The Cameroonian shot-stopper faced intense pressure early on and was beaten in the 10th minute by Festy Ebosele. He could do little about Urošev’s finish in first-half stoppage time, nor Batuhan Yıldırım’s late equaliser in the 90+1 minute, as Başakşehir repeatedly found space in transition.
Despite conceding three, Onana remained composed during a wild second half, organising his defence as Trabzonspor chased the game. His calm presence proved crucial as the visitors pushed forward relentlessly and ultimately found their reward.
On the opposite side, Cameroonian midfielder Olivier Kemen delivered a solid shift for Başakşehir. Working in midfield traffic, he supported the team’s ball progression and defensive structure, especially during a first half in which the hosts controlled the scoreline. Though his side ultimately fell short, Kemen’s work rate and tactical discipline stood out in a match where midfield control swung dramatically.
The encounter turned into a showcase of resilience and attacking power. After falling behind early, Trabzonspor equalised through F. Augusto in the 37th minute, only for Başakşehir to retake the lead before halftime. The momentum shifted decisively in the second half when Paul Onuachu converted a 76th-minute penalty, followed moments later by Ernest Muçi’s 77th-minute strike that flipped the game to 3–2.
Başakşehir’s late push forced Onana’s defence to break again as Yıldırım equalised at 90+1, but the final twist belonged to Muçi. Deep into stoppage time—90+11 minutes—the Trabzonspor forward scored a dramatic winner to seal a memorable 4–3 away victory.
It was a night that tested Onana and showcased Kemen’s consistency, giving Cameroonian supporters plenty to talk about from one of the wildest fixtures of the Turkish Super League season so far.
