  • Njorku Barnabas has tabled his decision to resign from Bamboutos FC of Mbouda
  • The gaffer is quitting the club due to non-payment of his dues since his appointment over four months ago
  • Bamboutos FC will thus open their season this weekend without an assistant and a fitness coach

Njorku Barnabas Ntow has stepped down from his role as deputy manager of Bamboutos FC of Mbouda, citing non-respect of his contractual obligations with the club.

This just four months after the former Buea United FC and Tiko United FC lead trainer agreed a one-year contract with the Mangwa Boys to serve as their fitness and assistant coach.

Kick442.com has gathered from close sources that the experienced trainer tabled his resignation to officials of the club this Thursday, after failing to cause his former employers to ameliorate his remuneration situation.

“Dear president, I write to inform you of my decision to step down from my role as deputy trainer of Bamboutos FC of Mbouda due to non respect of my contractual rights. My last day of work was Tuesday, December 3,” he wrote in a letter to the club which we got through our sources.

Our findings have it that coach Njorku hasn’t received any of his salary in three working months at Bamboutos FC as the owners point to non-recieved of varied funds from FECAFOOT. He has been constraint to live on the 1500 daily training bonuses which in itself hasn’t been regular.

The decision to quit marks an end to coach Njorku Barnabas’ second spin on the Bamboutos FC dugout, a stint which was shorter and less glorious than the first as in that stint he won the Cameroon Super Cup.

The astute technician who also had stints at Victoria United FC and Djiko FC in the past is expected leaves coach Agbor Ernest Ako, who resigned due to the same reason earlier on before reversing his decision.

The new domestic campaign is expected to start this weekend and Bamboutos FC of Mbouda will compete in the new look 16-club championship hoping to end an over 100 years wait for triumph in the domestic championship.

They will begin their campaign this weekend at home to ten times champions Canon Yaoundé but without Njorku Barnabas everything being equal.
