Sources around the Brazilian national team have told kick442.com that there is a positive response to the treatment of Neymar’s ankle problem.

Neymar attracted most of the attention from the hard Serbian defense, which kept fouling all game.

He was fouled nine times during the game, the most by any player at the World Cup in the first round of matches in the group stage.

According to reports, the PSG star who picked up a knock in the 2-0 win against Switzerland could be fit for Thursday’s final group G game against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon if Tite opts to play him.

The latest twist means the 29-year-old will only miss Monday’s clash against Switzerland at the 974 Stadium.

Brazil who have multiple options upfront want their superstar to go all the way in the competition, thus making news of his return a bolster to the rest of the squad and it’s followers.

Neymar who is looking to ice his glittering career with a World Cup win having failed to impress on home soil in 2014 and in Russia in 2018.

Both of his previous World Cup tournaments were ended prematurely by injuries but this time around he is set to return and try to change the narrative.

Neymar is Brazil’s second-best all-time scorer with 75 goals, two behind Pelé’s record with the national team.

Tite won’t be able to count on right back Danilo, who also sprained his ankle against Serbia. Danilo’s replacement will likely be veteran Daniel Alves, although Tite could also use central defender Éder Militão in the position against Switzerland.
