The Limbe-based outfit beat Renaissance FC of Ngoumou 2-0 to ink their first win of the competition and bury the ghost of their disappointing 2-2 draw against FAP in the previous round of matches.
Just like in the previous game, ISOHSA enjoyed a strong start, dominating possession but couldn’t take their early chances.
Ikose Njuma hit the upright from a close range shot before Arrey Jefta had a penalty shout waved by Referee Abdoul Razack.
Renaissance could have pounced on an Ashu Kelvin Mbah error to take the lead but the close range effort from Onana bounced off the woodwork.
Arrey Jefta crashed to the floor after a heavy challenge in the Renaissance FC box and Agbor Clinton who had been lively all afternoon in the ISOHSA attack made Renaissance to pay via the resulting penalty. Agbor converted the 42nd minute penalty to open his account for his new club barely weeks after completing his switch from Astres.
Albert Tiku Egbe who should have scored from the litterny of chances he had fed Njuma with an excellent close range close which he toepoke to make it 2-0.
Njuma’s latest goal is his 7th this season and makes him the outright top scorer for his club in the championship this season.
Coach Joseph Ndoko reinforced his ISOHSA team with Serge Bengono and Wirikom Chiffou Michael in midfield in the final moments to seal the 2-0 advantage that takes them up to third in the relegation playoff classification table with four points from a possible six in two games.
ISOHSA will switch their attention to their next game against YAFOOT FC on Sunday at the same Bafang Municipal stadium in which they defeated Renaissance FC.
