Cameroon International, Micheal Ngadeu Ngadjui has finally spoken up on his much talked absence from the Indomitable lions den especially missing out on the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The 32-year old mentioned to Canal 2 International that he was dropped from the World Cup squad few minutes before the list was made public.

“I got a message on my phone two minutes before they started reading the list. I received a message telling me that your name has just been removed.

“There has never been a fight between Zambo and me and I have never fought with anyone in the national team,” Ngadeu said.

Football lovers in the country were definitely convinced that all is not well and Ngadeu coming out to talk about his absence with such claims definitely confirms doubts.

The Beijing Guoan defender and one time National team captain has been away from the Den since after Cameroon’s World Cup qualifier game against Algeria in Blida.

Ngadeu’s absence became a major concern giving that his assist to Karl Toko Ekambi gave Cameroon a ticket to the World Cup, and his contributions to the national team have been almost flawless.

Despite having a very impressive season at club, Rigobert Song Bahanag seemed not to be convinced and replaced the defense man with Nicolas Nkoulou and Christopher Wooh.

He still wasn’t called up for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Namibia.

However, Cameroon has to take on Burundi in the last qualifier game at home this September as they go in search of a ticket to the final of the competition in Cote D’Ivoire next year.

Ngadeu counts over 68 caps for Cameroon since his debut in 2016 in a 2-0 over the Gambia counting for the 2017 AFCON qualifier.
