Marc Peter Brys, the head coach of Cameroon’s men’s national team, the Indomitable Lions is expected to be in Cameroon before the end of the current week despite rumors he has walked away from his position.

According to reports from multiple sources, the Belgian who resides in Greece these days is coming to clear the air about his future and announce the squad of players preselected for Cameroon’s upcoming FIFA World cup qualifiers.

Brys’ future has been filled with uncertainty since reports emerge that he had submitted a letter of resignation owing to the fact that he had experienced delay in the payment of his salary and that of his collaborators.

Despite his efforts to distance himself from the letter announcing his resignation, a section of Cameroonians, including the country’s football federation have maintained he actually opted to quit and that has been approved.

Brys who has been unpopular to some section of Cameroonians since his appointment and throughout the run of ten games without defeat is expected to be received at Cameroon’s presidency during hus time in the country.

The Belgian who replaced Rigobert Song as coach of Cameroon has done well on the pitch but has had to deal with tones of problems off the pitch.

Cameroon battling for the top spot in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers faces Cabo Verde and Eswatini in September.
