- This transfer offers the talented midfielder a chance to reboot his career and make an impact in the Egyptian top flight
Former U20 international Jordan Ajuah has sealed a two-year deal with Egyptian Premier League side Ismailia Electricity Club.
The move was officially announced on the club’s Facebook page, where they welcomed Ajuah and another new signing, Mohamed Hamdi Messi.
“In continuation of the deals in preparation for the excellent Electricity of Ismailia receives the signature of the player “Jordan”, the player of the Cameroonian Olympic national team and player “Mohammed Hamdi Messi”, the player of Suez national team in the presence of Mr. “Sharif Abedin”, the member of the Board of Directors, the Chairman of the Contracts Committee and the General Supervisor of the activities that concluded the transfer of the players” the post reads
Ajuah, a talented midfielder, joins the club on a free transfer after a single season with the now-relegated Astres of Douala. His time with the “Brazilians” was a mixed bag, with his season being largely a battle against continuous injuries. While he did regain his form late in the campaign, it was unfortunately not enough to save Astres from dropping down a division.
Earlier in January 2025, Ajuah’s hopes of a move to Austrian side LASK Linz were dashed after a failed trial, reportedly due to an injury sustained during Astres’ preseason tournament. Despite these setbacks, his exceptional midfield qualities, which were on full display during the U20 UNIFFAC tournament in Congo Brazzaville, have not gone unnoticed by clubs abroad.
Founded in 1980, the Ismailia Electricity Club is aiming to make a splash in the Egyptian Premier League. Their recent flurry of signings indicates a clear intent to strengthen their squad and compete at a higher level.
Ajuah’s arrival is part of a larger recruitment drive, with the club announcing multiple new players as they look to build a formidable team for the season ahead. This new challenge in the Egyptian top flight offers a fresh start for Ajuah to showcase his skills and prove his worth on a bigger stage.
