Arrey Jefta Oduak has been call up to join the U-20 Indomitable Lions of Cameroon team currently in camp at the CAF Excellence Center in Mbankomo.
Arrey Jefta, who sparkled in his debut campaign with Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe, scoring six goals and providing eight assists was summoned this Saturday by coach Yvan Kenmoe via the player’s club.
The player is expected to report to camp on Monday and continue preparations with the team preparing for the Union of Central Africa Football Federation (UNIFFAC) zonal tournament scheduled for next month in Brazzaville, Congo.
Per our findings, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Central Africa Republic, Chad, DR Congo, Congo Republic and Gabon have affiliated for the tournament. This means seven of the eight zonal members are expected to be involved – the only absentee being Sao Tome and Principe.
The draw for the tournament is expected to be conducted on September 4 in Cairo while the tournament proper gets underway a week later.
The tournament is expected to run from September 11-23 in Brazzaville with the best two nations emerging from it to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in their category.
Gabon beat Congo to claim the last edition of the competition last year in Kinshasa. They will be challenged by more contenders this time around, including regular winners: Cameroon that missed the previous edition of the tournament.
