The 2024 National Interpools have gone underway in Yaounde, Cameroon with champions of all 10 regions in attendance.
During the first day of play of the competition on Thursday August 1, 2024, four matches took place in Pool A and B.
In Pool A, played at the FECAFOOT Technical Centre in Odza, Union Sportive of Abong Mbang came from behind to beat North West regional league champions, Options Sports Academy of Bamenda 1#2.
Aniah Ezekiel Tabort gave Options Sports Academy the lead at the start of the second half before Bertrand Medjo and Omaric Ndang scored in the last quarter of the match to give Union Sportive of Abong Mbang a 1#2 lead.
In the second encounter played at Odza, Botafogo of Douala and Sporting of Maroua separated on a one all tie.
In Pool B played CAF Technical Centre in Mbankomo, Atlantic Sports Academy of Kribi picked up a 1#2 victory against Krimi of Garoua.
Krimi took the lead through Bella at the 33rd minute of the match Eric Bahetepie restored parity at the stroke of halftime. In the second half, Atlantic Sports Academy grabbed the winning goal courtesy of an own goal.
In the second match in Mbankomo, Volcan of Noun outplayed Girondin of Ngaoundere 2#0 with goals coming from Assan and Abdel Mah.
