The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will take to the pitch for the first time in this September international break this evening.

The program published by the staff appointed by Cameroon’s minister of Sports and Physical Education have it that the team will hold a first practice session at 4pm at the Annex 1 of the Yaoundé Omnisport stadium.

The first 15 minutes of the training session will be opened to the media while after that Marc Brys will be allowed to train the team without the cameras.

Through the public disaccord between the country’s ministry of Sports and it’s football federation, the players have opted to stick to the facilities provided by the government. Last night over 16 of the 24 players got into the country and all submitted themselves to the state authorities.

The following players are already at the Hilton Hotel;Vincent Aboubakar, Michael Ngadeu, Christian Bassogog, Collins Faï, Martin Hongla, Simon Omossola, Georges Kevin Nkoudou,Carlos Baleba, Jules Armand Kooh, Jackson Tchatchoua, Boris Enow, André Onana, Didier Lamkel Ze while Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa, Frank Magri, Bryan Mbeumo and Simon Ngapandouetnbu are in Douala but will connect to Yaoundé this morning.

Preparations for these game have been marked by at an atmosphere of uncertainty and controversy which has dragged for over a month.

The a tussle between the Cameroon FA and the Ministry of Sports over who is in charge of the Indomitable Lions has made it difficult to determine the match venue till the time of this report. Government says they want the game at the country’s political capital while the Federation wants it in Garoua.

The five-time African champions will face Namibia at home on the 7th of September before travelling to confront Zimbabwe away in Uganda in their second group Group J game on September 10.

Cameroon is placed in Group J of the qualifiers, along with Namibia, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.

The full squad picked by coach Marc Brys to begin the search for a ticket to Morocco includes three Goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and eight forwards.
