Governor Bernard Okalia Bilai of the Southwest Region has vowed to cause Elites of the region to throw their weight behind Elite 2 newbies Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe.
The lead administrator of the region made the vow on Tuesday afternoon at his office in Buea while receiving the staff of the club who had just returned from Yaounde as champions of the 10-clubs 2023 edition of the national interpools.
ISOHSA marveled many during the two weeks competition – recording wins against the champions of four regions while picking a draw in the other two games to finish as the only unbeaten side in the competition.
The young collection with an average age of 18 years and 7 months also produced the best player and top scorer of the competition in Albert Tiku Egbe who scored five goals.

According to Governor Okalia, this rare feat provides sufficient substance for all to rally behind the project.
“This achievement from such a young team tells us you guys are doing your best to develop into valuable Cameroonians who can be champions of other national and international competitions in future. I will do all it takes for all the Elites of the region to support you,” Governor Okalia stated.

This call from the head of state’s representative in the Southwest Region is certainly a welcomed development whose implementation could be a turning point in the history of the eight-year-old club that has achieved the unthinkable this season.

Reacting to the Governor’s declaration, president Karl Njomo Mokake thanked the experienced administrator and pledged to collaborate with him to ensure that the call is implemented.
