Mexican Premier League side Hincha Toluca FC have completed and announced the signing of 24-year-old Cameroonian forward Michaela Abam on a one-year contract, kick442.com learnt via their social media handles.
The Cameroon international joins the club as a free agent weeks after departing Swedish side Linköping football club upon mutual termination of her contract.
The Mexican club becomes the sixth football institution the erstwhile Paris FC and Real Betis finisher will represent and the fifth country she will practice her passion in after the US, France, Spain and Swedish experiences.
The arrival of the lethal finisher will improve the quality of the club’s frontline as they prepare themselves to be better across the rest of the season.
In as much as the club expects Abam to be ready and start adding value to their season, the 26-cap Cameroon international has interest to hit the ground running as it will enhance her chances of being recalled for the fourth round 2024 Olympics qualifier tie against everlasting foes – the Super Falcons of Nigeria next month.
