Guinness Super League: Eleane Bibout earns three points for Eclair over 10-woman Caiman

Eleane Bibout’s smartly converted second half penalty earned Eclair de Sa’a three points in Matchday two of the Cameroon Guinness Super League encounter against Caiman Ladies FC of Douala.

The striker scored the lone goal at the 81st minute after being brought down in the box by the opponent goalkeeper who denied her a chance of sending the ball to the empty pole.

The battle of Matchday one losers game staged at the Bepanda annex stadium saw a determined Eclair side who came into this game with fresh memories of their loss to Lekie FF in the league opener.

Caiman Ladies equally showed willingness in ameliorating the mistakes of the previous game that caused them a heavy 4-0 defeat to defending champions, AS Awa, but unsuccessful failed to record a single short on target in the first half.

Éclair who looked more convincing in the game, squandered all goal scoring opportunities, thanks to the efforts of goalkeeper Carhelle Sandrine Ndemba whose timely interventions ensured both sides tie for nothing before the break.

The home girls came back into the second segment with full force and were feasibly the better side in the early minutes of the second segment, yet,finishing was the problem.

The only glaring chance for Caiman came at the 69th minute via a free kick, though the shot was taken straight off target.

The visitors took an 81’ lead from the spot through, Eleane Aimee Bibout after she was brought down in the box by goalkeeper Carhelle upon clearing danger one on one.

As a reminder, Bibout has now scored three goals in two games for Eclair and all from the penalty spot. Her brace against Lekie FF in the opener came after converting two penalties.

A reckless outing from Caïman’s goalkeeper saw her get a second booking after the first that caused her side a penalty and this time around, she was sent off.

With her substitute taking over for just less than two minutes, the final whistle was blown.

For the second time in a row, Caiman goes home with nothing, not even a goal recorded in the first day of play.
