Authentic Ladies FC forwards Oceanne Nana and Ngo Bilong were the scorers as coach Hassan Ibrahim Balla’s side beat Dja Sports Academy 2-1 in match day 15 of the Guinness Super League championship in Yaoundé to complete a double against the newcomers and record a first win in four games.
The Douala ladies traveled to Yaounde on a run of three games without a win following defeats to Lekie Filles, Éclair of Sa’a and a draw against FC Ebolowa that took them from second to fourth spot on the log.
Early goals from Nana and Ngo were sandwiched by a Felicite Dongole goal as Authentic Ladies held on to register their ninth win in 15 games.
The was lacking in goal moments for most of the rest the afternoon as the visitors from Douala defended resolutely to back home maximum points.
The win takes Authentic Ladies FC points tally to 30 in 15 games this season.
With seven matches left, the 2022 Littoral League champions remain in the title race as they are seven points off the leaders FC Ebolowa who played a 1-1 draw against second-placed Lekie Filles on match day 15.
