Gazelle FA midfielder Ismail Ben has assured they will give their all to end on a high and at least get a point when they face Bamboutos FC of Mbouda in their final game of a devastating MTN Elite One title play-offs tournament.
The 24-year-old made the comments during the traditional pre-match conference at the Bepanda Omnisport stadium this Saturday afternoon.
“We will do our best to leave weigh at least these points. It feels bad that we ended up here but grabbing points will be better than leaving with nothing.”
Ismail started the season with mother club Cotonsport of Garoua and is now on loan to Gazelle FA. He is two-time champion of Cameroon with the Cotonites and he mentioned routing for them to win the championship since Gazelle is out of the title race.
Gazelle has suffered two defeats in two games so far in the playoffs, causing some to suggest the side will be a pushover against ambitious Bamboutos FC of Mbouda on Sunday afternoon.
Coach Leonard Ruben emphasized they are eyeing the 15 million for second runner up than leave the competition without even a medal.
In case Gazelle beats Bamboutos FC they can move up to third position and back home an additional five million to the initial ten allocated to the fourth place team, a position they eventually occupy.
