Limbe host 24th edition of Fenassco League A Games

The 24th edition of the Fenassco League A Games, officially kicked-off on April 3,in a flamboyant style at the Seaside resort town of Limbe.

The town of Limbe was given a different decorum, cutting across the major popular corners of the town thanks to CAMTEL’s “Blue” banners and posters brandished.

The major play grounds,like the Ngeme Omnisport Stadium were all embellished to the trending “Blue ” brand. Adding to these outdoor tools were roll ups and corporate gadgets,designed to the colours of CAMTEL.

The kick-off ceremony for the Secondary Schools Sports Jamboree, was given by Sports and Physical Education Minister, Prof Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.Accompanied by the Minister of Secondary Education, Prof Pauline Nalova Lyonga.

Other members of government present were, the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reform, Joseph Anderson Lé, Minister Jean De Dieu Momo, the Governor of the South West region, The President of the South West Regional Council, Samuel Eto’o Fils. And a cream of local administrators.

The ceremony bringing together 2,280 athletes and young officials will run from April 2-9.These athletes shall compete in disciplines like, judo,athletics, football, table tennis,Karate,Long Jump, volleyball, basketball and Nambudo.

The Olympic flame made its triumphant journey, through the streets of Limbe municipality, igniting the passion and enthusiasm of onlookers.

The games opened with a sport walk throughout the town of Limbe, where athletes from the ten regions of Cameroon chanted songs of victory indicating their presence.

The sport walk culminated with a football encounter at the Government High School Limbe, where the South West teachers were crowded winners of the minister’s cup, after trashing the Centre region teachers by 12 goals to 10.Thus, opening the way for students competition.
