Captain Catherine Nagadya scored late in the 78th minute as Uganda Martyrs pipped Maroons 1-0 in the finals of the FUFA women’s Cup on Saturday evening.
A solid display from the prison ladies in the first stanza saw the Lubaga side miss out to find back of the net on several occasions.
With the game destined to end in a stalemate at Maraka College playground , Cathy broke the deadlock to give Martyrs the lead.
This was Martyrs first ever title in club history since it’s existence. It’s rebuilds on to the beautiful season where they finished third in the 2022/23 FWSL campaign.

Kiddawalime duo Catherine Nagadya and Sharon Kaidu won the MVP and Best Goalkeeper Award respectively while Maroons forward Anitah Babirye won the golden shoe on three goals.
The runnersup She Maroons also took home the Fair Play award after their impressive run in the competition.
Uganda Martyrs now become the fourth club to claim the title after She Mak ,Olila H/S and UCU Lady Cardinals.
