Elite Division side She Maroons earned a semi-final first leg advantage after a 2#0 victory over Asubo Gafford on Sunday morning.

Goals from Anita Babirye and Millicent Namwembe in each half got the job done in Luzira.

Maroons who are on edge to earn promotion back to the FWSL have been top this season.

The Luzira-based side are now one step into the finals leaving a lot of workload for Asubo in the return leg.

In the other semi-final tier , Uganda Martyrs pipped Kawempe 1#0 on Saturday morning.

Viola Namuddu goal was the only difference as the valley warriors suffered their first defeat since the start of this year.

The return legs of both fixtures are set to be played next week with the final scheduled to be held in Kumi.
