Reigning Cameroon Champions Cotonsport of Garoua have appointed French tactician Daniel Breard as their lead trainer for the 2022/23 season.
The 65-year-old former DC Motema Pemba trainer replaces Jean Baptiste Bisseck who has left Coton on mutual consent weeks after helping them to their 18th domestic title.
Breard will be assisted by Christophe Ousmanou who returns to the Coton set up four years after he terminated his last spell.
Ousmanou’s name has been submitted to CAF as the lead trainer of Cotonsport for the preliminary of the CAF Champions League but adjustments will be made after that phase of the competition.
Breard who also previously had stints in Tunisia will become the first foreign coach to manage Cotonsport since Lionel Soccia left the club in June 2016. He is the sixth Frenchman to manage the Garoua outfit and the eighth foreign coach in their illustrious history.
He will be complemented by Saido Hamadjouda who will be in double capacity as deputy and goalkeeper trainer.
