After a successful foray into boxing, Francis Ngannou is now set to return to mixed martial arts (MMA) under the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

The Cameroonian’s next MMA fight is scheduled for October, with the PFL working diligently to finalize the details. While the exact date isn’t set in stone, there’s anticipation that it could take place on October 19. Interestingly, the fight might occur in Saudi Arabia, adding an exotic twist to the matchup.

On Joe Rogan’s podcasts on YouTube which aired on July 23, the “Predator” explained his opponent for this comeback fight is Renan Ferreira. Ngannou has been discussing Ferreira with people for nearly two years, recognizing his athleticism, quick hands, and knees. Ferreira poses a formidable challenge, and fans are eager to see how Ngannou fares against him.

If the former UFC champion emerges victorious in his PFL debut, he’s eyeing a return to boxing. The combat sports landscape will play a crucial role in determining his next steps. Ngannou’s interest in both MMA and boxing highlights his versatility and willingness to take on new challenges.

Ngannou, now in his late 30s, is clear about his goals. He wants to leave the sport before it leaves him. Whether it’s MMA or boxing, he’ll take it one step at a time.

“I want to leave the sport before the sport leaves me. I think 41. By then. Maybe in my 40s, I feel like I’m still in it. If I feel like I’m 41, I feel like I’m in it? Take it one at a time. What I really don’t want to do is wake up and go to the gym like I have to go. If I feel like I have it or I’m excited, oh today’s a workout day, I’m going to go, whether I beat somebody or they beat me. Either way, I’m excited!” »

“ If that’s still the case, I’ll keep going. As soon as I don’t have it anymore, even though I’m not 40 yet, I think that’s a sign.”
Francis Ngannou concluded with a smile – “ I think I still have a few [boxing fights] left in me. A few boxing fights. I have a few MMA fights.” He explained

After his well-paid excursions into the noble art, this first KO, and the unfortunate passing of his son earlier this year, anticipation builds for a comeback from the Cameroonian in the octagon.
