  • Ashu is the first player in the new ISOHSA era to pick up his Advanced Level while on the books of the club though they are a number of holders affiliated to the institution
  • The skipper passed the Advanced Level just like he had a successful season

Isle of Hope Sports Academy,(ISOHSA) of Limbe skipper, Ashu Brice Tabi has become an Advanced Level holder following his success in the latest edition of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education (GCE) examinations organized by the Cameroon GCE board.

The midfield metronome was one of the successful candidates in the latest edition of the examination following the release of the results last week.

Captain Ashu who wrote three subjects of the Advanced Level examinations made it in two subjects an impressive grades despite having a charged year on the pitch.

The catechist noted for his exemplary lifestyle spent the best part of last academic year on the pitch, helping ISOHSA steady their ship in their time of asking in Elite Two, after leading the club to qualification as 2023 national interpools champions.

The skipper only fully committed himself to prepare examinations after the regular season in which ISOHSA finished top of the maintenance playoffs.

Despite having exams and church commitments, Ashu featured and scored against Legends FA of Kumba in the first Cup of Cameroon game, before helping the club eliminate Unisport in the 32nd final.

He missed the eight-final victory against Stade Renard as he was excused from the club duty in agreement with the club despite writing 24 hours earlier. That decision paid off as he returned and scored against Canon in the quarter-final and eventually skippered the club to their first-ever semi-final appearance in the cup of Cameroon.

In all, the former LIFCA midfielder had a great season, from which he scored four goals and provided four assists in 23 appearances, before scoring success in the Advance Level.

Since the reformation of the ISOHSA project two years ago, the club has gone from a participation oriented team in the Southwest Regional championship to a team to recon with in national competitions while ensuring it’s players pay attention to their education as an ingredient for life during and after football.
