  • FECAFOOT has confirmed that the 2024/2025 Elite One Championship will kick off on December 8, 2024, featuring 16 teams competing in a single pool format
  • These comes after close to seven months of inactivity

The Elite One season will run from December 8 to April 1, 2025, featuring a single pool format with 16 teams competing for the title.

A break in the schedule will take place from February 1 to 28, 2025, to accommodate the Africa Nations Championship, allowing players to represent their national teams. This will only be respected if Cameroon qualified for the competition to be hosted in East Africa

The season will kick off with an exciting Super Cup clash between Victoria United and Colombe Sportive, scheduled for November 24. This match will serve as a curtain-raiser for the league and set the competitive tone for the season ahead.

In the Elite Two, a total of 17 clubs will enter the fray, starting their campaign on December 14. The regular phase of this division will conclude on April 28, 2025, with teams vying for a spot in the playoffs, which are set to begin on May 10, 2025. Like their Elite One counterparts, Elite Two teams will also observe a break from February 1 to 28 for national duties.

Additionally, the Women’s Premier League is set to debut on November 30.

It’s uncertain if these dates will be maintained as clubs are still clamoring for subvention and their own share of the package gotten from sponsorship.
