Besiktas moved up the Turkish Women’s Super Ligi table with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Antalyaspor on Saturday, thanks in part to a goal from Cameroon international Fadimatou Kome.
The visitors started brightly, with Kome striking in the 9th minute to give Besiktas an early advantage. Her composed finish set the tone for a confident Besiktas side, though Antalyaspor responded with a well-taken goal in the 30th minute to level the scores before half-time.
The second half saw Besiktas take control. Aleksic M. restored the lead in the 51st minute, breaking the deadlock with a precise strike. The momentum swung fully in Besiktas’ favour when Kartal K. inadvertently turned the ball into her own net in the 80th minute, putting the visitors firmly in command.
Nicoara T. added a fourth in the 81st minute, demonstrating Besiktas’ clinical edge, before Gundogdu B. completed the rout in stoppage time, sealing a comprehensive win.
The result lifts Besiktas to 16 points, moving them into 7th place in the league standings. For Kome, her early goal highlighted her growing influence, while Besiktas will take confidence from a display that combined attacking fluency with defensive resilience.
As the Super Ligi Turk season progresses, Besiktas will aim to build on this performance, with Kome and her teammates central to their ambitions.
