Experienced assistant Referee Victorine Ngarassoum has been appointed into the team of four Chadian Referees to travel to Dar Es Salaam for the crucial first round clash of Djibouti against visiting home side Tanzania at the Azam Complex in the outskirts of Dar Es Salaam next month.

Ngarrasoum, a FIFA badged Referees alongside compatriots Bit Oumarou Aicha Bit as referee, Ndingadal Homadje as first assistant will complete the trio while Lamngar Lare serve as fourth official and Kenya’s Margaret Anyango Omondi be the match commissioner.

The team of officials have the responsibility of ensuring full application of the laws of the game so that both sides can battle their way to victory during the first-leg game.

Djibouti are the host of the October 10 clash though it will be played at the famous Azam Complex in Chamazi, Tanzania.

Both nations have agreed to played both ties in Dar Es Salaam, owing to Djibouti’s lack of standard and certified infrastructures back at home.

The best part of the present crop of Tanzania’s U-20 team formed the nucleus of their famous U-17 squad that qualified for their first FIFA World Cup just above a year ago while Djibouti is about putting in place a competitive team.

The aggregate winner of the tie will advance to the second round of the qualifier with hopes of getting to final small bracket of two African nations to be at next year’s FIFA World Cup for their category in Colombia.

Though she has been around for a while and handled a handful of international matches, Ngarrasoum is one of the promising young referees from her country and has all of her future ahead of her.

The Djibouti versus Tanzania contest is another opportunity for the East African nation to show how far they have come in terms of their progress in football especially after winning the rights to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
