Epervier Sportif of Ebolowa have emerge champions of the South Regional football league following their 2-0 win against Tout Puissant Obang II last Sunday at the Djoum stadium.
Goals in each half from Abdoul Razack and Koumou Boris ensured the boys led by coach Baroung secured the comfortable result and finished the season in style.
Though the result suggest otherwise, it was a very competitive final that was decided by details that fell in favour of Epervier.
The result means historic Epervier of president Mebounou Kadafi and General Manager Messi Andre are back at the national interpools as ambassadors of the South Region for the first time since 2005, crowning a scintillating season in style.
Former ISOHSA duo Abdoul Razack and Bella Eye Steve played a pivotal role throughout the triumphant season and will be making their return to the interpools after their experience in 2023 with Olympique Biwoung Bane.
Eperviers and Kumba City FC of the Southwest Region are thus the first two clubs to qualify for this year’s national interpools. They will catch their breathe and wait for the other eight regions of the country to produce their champions and complete the crew for the ten-club competition.
Epervier will be one of the clubs to look out for when the interpools is announced in the weeks to come.
