Yong Sports Academy, YOSA, of Bamenda has defeated Apejes of Mfou 4#0 in matchday 11 of the MTN Elite One championship.
Played at the Mbouda Municipal Stadium, YOSA’s 18-year-old sensation Mujibu Rahaman Mohammed was the star of the match as he scored a hat trick.
Mujibu Rahaman Mohammed opened scores for Yong Sports Academy at the 19th minute of play after a beautiful through pass from midfield maestro Nguimbat Junior.
A minute later, Kamaka Fils Fabrice who was making his first start of the season, provided the assist for Mujibu Rahaman to score his second of the match and the second for YOSA.
Upon resumption of the second half, YOSA maintained the same rythmn like in the first half ass they dominated possession.
Apejes of Mfou conducted two substitutions but it failed to yield any fruits for them.
At the 60th minute of play, Nguimbat Junior from a set piece delivery found the on-rushing Mujibu Rahaman who scored his third goal of the match and for the season.
YOSA’s coach Ndikum Blaise Tengoh then brought in Tiambou Yemdjeu Francky and Kengne Talla Ousman. Both combined at the 89th minute of play as Kengne Talla Ousman provided the assist to Tiambou Francky Yemdjeu.
The victory is YOSA’s third of the season as they now count 11 points in Pool B.
The academicians from Bamenda will travel to Douala next where they will play against Avion Academy.
