Cameroon Elite One giants Canon Yaounde have sacked their 48-year-old coach Jean Baptiste Bisseck less than a year after he was hired.
According to our sources, the board took the decision to sack the former Eding Sport de la Lekie and Akonangi of Guinea coach this Sunday after a meeting with the hierarchy and the players.
The club is yet to publish an official decision, but coach Bisseck has said goodbye to the players.
Bisseck replaced Minkreo Birwe last August while the club was preparing for the new season.
Though the club made some big name signings, the 2018 cup of Cameroon winner with Eding couldn’t get it right with The Gunners.
Canon only won three of their opening ten games of the season; lost two and played a draw in the other five.
The 14 points accumulated from ten games is the club’s worst start in Elite One since their return to the division in 2018.
This portal understands Bisseck had lost the Canon dressing room and the decision to get him off the Kpakum project was endorsed by some of the senior figures in the playing staff.
