The homologation and disciplinary commission of the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) have duct three points from MTN Elite One championship side UMS of Loum for fielding in an ineligible player against Avion Academy.
According to a verdict kick442.com stumbled on this Friday morning, Avion Academy’s qualification protest against Collins Achet Achi has been adjudged valid, thus handing three points to president Pierre Batamak’s team.
The match day 21 fixture played on April 1 finished 1-0 in favor of UMS but the Nkengni Felix led commission have sanctioned UMS losses the game by penalty.
Avion Academy have been declared winner of the game with three points but without a goal.
The commission has given the concerned parties five days to appeal the decision.
UMS can cause the decision to be reversed if they provide a valid argument, without which Achet will be suspended for two years at the end of the season.
The three points deducted from UMS means they drop to the second spot in Pool A of the abridged championship. Canon moves to the top of the group with 31 points.
The verdict also means Avion Academy moves out of the relegation zone with 21 points. They occupy the eighth spot, ahead of Djiko FC, PWD and Renaissance FC going into their delay game against PWD this weekend.
