The head coach of Éclair of Sa’a says his side’s defeat against FC Ebolowa last Sunday was as a result of a situation they had identified before the game but couldn’t make the most of the pre-match information due to poor finishing.
Kokolo’s side accepted a shock 0-1 defeat against FC Ebolowa, a result which takes them off the top spot they had gained just a week ago after beating Lekie Filles.
To the gaffer his side had diagnosed the problem before the game but poor finishing made it impossible to counter the situation.
“We knew that FC Ebolowa will cause us problems about the physical side of the game. We prepared for this, but unfortunately we didn’t score. We are going to continue working,” Koloko said to reporters after the game.
The match day 13 defeat is Éclair’s second of the season and leaves them on the same number of points as joint leaders Lekie Filles.
Koloko says he is unperturbed as the goals for the season remain very clear and they are determined to reach that.
“The objective is to finish better than last season and we are on track,” He added.
Eclair will face Louves Minprof this weekend on match day 14 of the Guinness Super League championship.
