Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe have completed formalities for the transfer of talented midfielder Serge Manga Bengono Bengono to MTN Elite One side Stade Renard of Melong while on a deal that could see the club pick up 20% of the fallouts of the player transfer fee should he make a switch to Europe within the next two years.
According to information reaching our Editorial crew the 19YO whose entourage had been negotiating the switch with officials of the Limbe based outfit finally reached a consensus over the weekend with parties settling on the rights of the player.
Bengono joined ISOHSA in the mid-season transfer window from YAFOOT FC and played 12 games for the club from which he scored twice and provided one assist.
The hardworking midfielder who contributed massively to ISOHSA run to the semi-final of the Cup of Cameroon with commanding displays against Unisport, Canon Yaoundé and Stade Renard was in the last six months of his contract before the Renard option entered the table.
His standout display in the eight-final game against Stade Renard of Melong made him a prime target for coach Mesumbe Ivo and his recruitment team who ferried him to Melong over two months ago while pushing the players entourage to engage in negotiations for the Espoir du Caire product.

The switch to Stade Renard makes Bengono the sixth ISOHSA player from the talented crop of last season to move to Elite One. He joins the likes of goalkeepers Frank Ipoua and Abianda Michel who switched Canon and PWD of Bamenda respectively, Wirikom Michael, who moved to YOSA and Albert Tiku Egbe who joined Union Sportif of Douala while Sambo Abdoulaye switched to Elite Two newcomers Atlantic of Kribi and Meke Fred joined FAP.
In a related development Ekene Calistus Zama, Ivan Yatchet Berthault, Ndanga Dejoli and Armel Nguene II are in Europe and could conclude a switch in the days ahead.
