Dja Sports Academy Meyomessala has named Atangana Onana Prosper as the head coach of the team, following a crisis meeting held on December 3, 2023.
The meeting also resulted in the appointment of the assistant coach, Kouleko Jean Richard, the sport director, Meke William Lionel, the technical director, Eteme Biolo Emmanuel, and the head of missions, Aboutou Mbita Zita.
These new appointees will be expected to work together to ensure Dja Sports has a successful season in the Guinness Super League.
The team’s president, Ndoudoumou Justin Noël, has set clear goals for them: to finish among the top five teams in the league and to challenge for the Cup of Cameroon trophy.
Dja sports is currently out of the top five margin, but however have a chance to improve their position when they face a struggling Caiman on match day eight, scheduled for Sunday in Douala.
The south side is in sixth place on the table with nine points from seven games. The team has won their last two matches against AS Awa and Ita Mbong FC of Nkambe.
