Popular Cameroonian physiotherapist Kamdem Jean Marie has joined his ancestors after failing to beat a long period of illness.
The dedicated gentleman known by many in the football industry in Cameroon died on Wednesday, October 30 in the West Region of Cameroon where he had returned for treatment after unsuccessful stints at varied facilities in Douala.
According to close sources Kamdem who spent over a decade on the books of Astres of Douala and was also the physiotherapist of Cameroon’s U-20 men’s national team had been battling with illness even before travelling to Congo for the UNIFFAC zonal tournament that ended sometimes last month. On his return from the competition, he made stops at different facilities in an attempt to be treated till his demise.
The mortal remains of the man popularly called ‘Doc’ by Footballers and other stakeholders alike has been deposited at the morgue pending funeral arrangements from his family.
His demise has left his family, colleagues and other arms of the football fraternity in shock with many questioning why death came knocking at his early age.
