Cameroon international Nicolas Nkoulou has parted ways with his Greek side Aris Thessaloniki FC after one year of service.
The 33-year-old signed a two-year deal with the side on August 23, 2022 on a free transfer, but will see his contract end prematurely.
Nkoulou has made 17 appearances for The
Yellow-Black, with 11 starts, scoring one goal. With his next destination is still unknown.
This is not the first time this ex Monaco player has become a free agent. After breaking up with Italian side Torino 2020/2021 season, the defender spent a considerable amount of time without a club before joining Watford in October 2021, still yet their relationship was short-lived.
His career has, however, taken him to countries like France where he played for Monaco, Marseille, Lyon, to Italy with Torino and English side Watford.
At international level, Nkoulou has had 82 appearances for Cameroon, scoring two goals, one of which was a 2017 AFCON final goal.
He has been a regular for Rigobert Song. From taking his to the world cup, to playing in the AFCON qualifiers, and the most recent, against Mexico.
With a crucial qualification game against Burundi just right ahead, one wonders if he will make the cut.
