- Tengeg Neville scored on Thursday as his Cambodian Premier League club suffered a 3-1 defeat at home to Angkor Tiger
- The former Mount Cameroon FC and Victoria United FC forward has been a regular scorer for his club but their problems have been more at the back than upfront
Tengeg Neville Mbanwei was amongst the goals this Thursday as his Cambodian Premier League club Kirivong Sok Sen Chey fell at home to Angkor Tiger by 3-1 in what marked their fifth defeat of the season.
Kirivong Sok Sen Chey entered the game on the run of four successive defeats but the home game presented a great chance to finally get their season going, though their visitors were on a run of four wins and was one of the on-form teams in the championship.
The former Mount Cameroon FC of Buea forward thought he had started a comeback when he scored the equaliser on the struck of halftime after Kodai Nagashima had put the visitors ahead in the 31st minute.
The teams retired for the pause being level but what followed was a second half to forget for the hosts.
Japanese defender Shuto Asano scored a second half brace to completely turn the game on its head in favour of the visitors who ended up winning by 3-1 to maintain their perfect start.
The win made it four wins in five Cambodian Premier League outings so far this season while Neville’s Kirivong Sok remains winless and pointless in five games.
Angkor Tiger remains third on the log as their four wins have fetched them 12 points so far.
