Yves Clement Arroga has revealed his side will have to do without lead scorer Junior Kemajou in their next game of the 2022/23 MTN Elite One title play-offs.
The 11-goal striker missed Bamboutos’ 2-1 win against favourite Canon Yaounde last Sunday, but fans of the Mangwa Boys were hoping to see him this Thursday when they face Cotonsport, unfortunately coach Arroga says the striker will be unavailable.
“Kemajou Jnr had an injury and needed a one week rest for a week. Maybe he will play the last game,” Arroga revealed to Evra Geraud.
Bamboutos showed class despite the absence of their top scorer and will be hoping to be at their best again when they face the defending champions.
Arroga is sizing and excited about the Coton challenge which comes up on Thursday at the Bepanda Omnisport stadium.
“We must have a good goal difference because that’s what will decide the champions. So we are prepared to win against Cotonsport,” Arroga posited.
The former Intermediate Lions of Cameroon trainer is counting on the quality of his players who have been qualified as ‘the the best in Cameroon’.
The UEFA Pro license owner trained in Spain is making giant strides back at home and hoping to be the man that final break the jinx for the giant club from the West Region of Cameroon.
Bamboutos FC face Cotonsport on Thursday before concluding their Elite One championship season against Gazelle FA this weekend.
