The DR Congo Football Federation FECOFOOT has issued a release appointing Gladys Bokese and Bedi Mbenza as members of the new technical crew of the country’s Under-17 men’s football team.

The release from the office of the Secretary General on Friday December 23 confirmed Bokese and Bedi as team manager and discipline master for the staff led by another ex-international Dianda Etienne.

Bedi and Bokese were pivotal in DR Congo’s 2009 African Nations championship triumph in Sudan and left their mark on Congolese football especially locally.  This their first big challenge post retirement a few years ago.

The new staff of 14 persons have been given the mandate to scout and groom the country’s next breed of Leopards beginning with the 2023 UNIFFAC tournament to start on January 5 in Limbe and run for a week.

Coach Dianda who was working at the Ujana Academy before his appointment is expected to publish a list of players for the first camp in the days ahead and get to work.
