Barcelona have completed the signing and announced the arrival of 22-year-old Cameroonian forward Ivan Cédric Bikoue Embolo on a season-long loan from Las Palmas.
The exciting defender who became part of the Las Palmas family earlier this year will continue his development in Barcelona as part of the feeder team that will compete in the second tier of Spanish football.
Bikoue was a part of the Real Valladolid team that obtained promotion to the La Liga last season but moved to Las Palmas in search of more playtime as the two goals scored in 14 games for the club.
Though he didn’t make any meaningful impact for Las Palmas, he is expected to play a telling role for Barca Atletico as they hope to be more competitive this season to enhance the development of the next generation of players.
The Madrid born former Alcoron striker who also played for EMF Aluche and Humanes at some point in time in his embroidery career.
He has joined the rest of his club colleagues in training, ahead of this weekend’s game away to Unionistas which will provide a chance to return to winning ways.
In the international front, though Bikoue remains eligible for Cameroon and Spain’s national team, he has pledged his allegiance to Cameroon and already played for the U-23 national team.
