Footballers affiliated to all 12 Guinness Super League championship clubs for the 2022/23 season are in happy mood these days, after receiving their monthly stipends from the lead sponsor.
This week, kick442.com gathered from a number of footballers on the books of the different clubs that they have received bank notification confirming the payments of 100 000 FCFA as the first two installments of what Guinness promised at the start of the collaboration.
The payment represents promised stipends for the months of January and February 2023.
Initially, the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) had agreed to top up the cash to 100 000 FCFA per month but backed out weeks later, thus leaving Guinness as the sole institution to pay the stipends.
