- The former Intermediate Lions of Cameroon trainer leaves Dynamo after eight rollercoaster months
- Dynamo are winless in the playoffs going into their clash against Colombe of Dja and Lobo this afternoon in Douala
- The former Djiko FC and Bamboutos FC trainer is once again in the job market
Yves Clement Arroga has stepped down from his role as the head coach of Dynamo of Douala after just eight months in charge.
The 47-year-old tabled his resignation on Monday, April, citing a number of shortcomings as the raison d’etre of his decision to leave.
Despite the hype and great performance in the first phase of the championship, Dynamo is struggling in the title playoffs phase – the team is performing below par, having record two defeats and two draws in four matches.
In his resignation letter, coach Arroga blames management of the club for the results so far, while highlighting they owe him over three millions FCFA and took a wrong decision to transfer key forward Leonel Ateba Christian Mbida midway into the season.
Arroga’s departure puts the club in a position to finish the rest of the season with another trainer to be announced by the Alphonse Bea led management team.
Dynamo who ascended to the top-flight championship in the build up to this season were once tipped favourites for the title. As at now, they are mathematically out of the title race. However, their players must play for their pride and end what was once a promising season on a high.
The club will begin life after Yves Arroga this Tuesday. They face title-chasing Colombe of Dja and Lobo this afternoon at the Bonamousadi stadium in Douala.
