The last edition of the tournament took place in Algeria earlier this year, and CAF has since been on a long search for the next hosts till Monday when they made the announcement.

“In addition to AFCON 2027, Kenya has also been selected to host the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in September 2024″, A CAF statement said.

It is the first time the country will have to host the event. Kenya previously won the rights to host the tournament in 2018 but lost the rights in the last moments due to delays in meeting infrastructural demands.

Kenya is one of the most attractive tourists country in the world. That alone is enough to bring Africa to Kenya.
