Embattled Indomitable Lions of Cameroon coach Marc Peter Brys experienced one of the best moments of his time at the helm of the country’s men’s national team this Friday, August 1 when he returned ahead of a number of activities in his place of employment.
Hundreds of Cameroonian youths wearing T shirts with his photos and placards of “Thank You President Biya” message turned up at the Nsimalen International Airport to welcome the Belgian who has experienced mixed emotions in the past two weeks, losing due to a purported resignation letter that was later disowned for his job as Cameroon coach to be recovered.
Brys whose arrival was aired live on Cameroon’s State Television waved past the crowd of fans before boarding the luxurious car reserved to transport him into the city of Yaounde.
Upon arrival in Yaounde the trainer and his collaborators appointed by the country’s minister of Sports and Physical Education, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi met him at his ministry to share his plans for the coming days and the September FIFA window.
