Cameroonian forward Bryan Mbeumo scored twice and provided an assist for Yohane Wissa as high-flying Brentford punished Tottenham Hotspur by 3-1 on match day 36 of the English Premier League.
The speedy forward had arguably one of his brightest afternoons in a Brentford shirt, as he helped the Bees fight back from a goal down to beat Tottenham to improve their chances of securing European football next campaign.
Mbeumo took his goals tally for the season to nine with the latest brace in a commanding second-half performance.
Harry Kane scored his 28th Premier League goal of the season just eight minutes into the game but Mbeumo was the star of the day.
Spurs preserved the early advantage to the break, but they were undone with relative ease from after the interval.
Mbeumo leveled after five minutes of the second-half, doubled 12 minutes later before laying a kind ball on the plate for Wissa who sealed the three points just before full-time.
The win is Brentford 14th this season and leaves them on the ninth spot with 56 points accumulated so far, largely thanks to the contribution of 23-year-old Mbeumo.
The Cameroon international has registered nine goals and seven assists in 37 games, but is yet to translate his club form to country as he is still chasing his first goal for the Indomitable Lions.
