Recently crowned champions of Cameroon, Colombe of Dja and Lobo have secured the return of Brunel Epanda, making him their first post maiden title signing.
The arrival of the 25-year-old from rivals Fauve Azur Elite marks his return to Colombe where he spent the 2022/23 season.
Coaches Richard Towa and Ndongo Emma approved of the signing of the midfielder who has been the club’s priority throughout the course of the regular season.
Upon his acquisition, Colombe quickly moved into his registration for the CAF Inter club competition as they prepare to make their debut in the Champions League.
Brunel, a versatile midfielder who can operate in multiple positions in midfield is expected to add competition to the midfield which is led these days by captain Randy Ntube Kwalar.
We understand Brunel is the first of multiple signings to be announced before the new season starts.
Colombe will represent Cameroon in the CAF Champions League when the new season gets underway in September. However, before then, they have a month to build a team that can compete beyond the shores of the country and end Cameroon’s four-year absence in the group stage of the CAF flagship competition.
They must navigate two preliminary rounds of four matches to enter the group stage of the competition in their first time of asking.
