Uganda are set to host this year’s CAF Women’s Champions league Qualifiers for the CECAFA Zone.
This was confirmed in a press release by The Council For East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA ) via their social handles.
This huge news comes barely two weeks after Kampala Queens were crowned champions of the Uganda top flight division.
The triumph meant the Queens of Soccer are the only side from Uganda to represent at this year’s edition.
It should be noted that in all the previous editions ,the hosts have gone on to win the competition.
Vihiga Queens(Kenya) and Simba Queens(Tanzania) won the 2021 and 2022 tournaments respectively.
The winner on finals of the Zonal championship gets a chance to represent the region at the CAF Women’s Champions League Competition.
