29-year-old Cameroonian NBA basketball player, Joel Embiid of Philadelphia 76ers is the recipient of the Michael Jourdan Trophy as the 2023-24, Kia Most Valuable Player.
The information was disseminated some fours ago, on the social media page of three NBA Communications, on May 3. Joel becomes the first individual distinction for the Cameroonian.
Joel Embiid wrote his name in the history books of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was crowned Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2022-23 season.
This accolade was given to him in recognition of his outstanding performances in many league arenas. Surpassing both Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo, despite initial expectations of a fierce battle with the Serb from the Nuggets, Embiid was ultimately the clear winner.
