Cotonsport of Garoua winger Koulagna Aziz Bassane Koulagna has flown out of Cameroon to finalise formalities for his transfer out of Cotonsport of Garoua.
The 22-year-old skillful Winger was spotted at the Douala International Airport last Saturday, August 10 with travel documents showing he was en route to Rwanda, where he is expected to join Rayon Sports of Kigali.
The former FC Nantes Youth team player is on the verge of departure from Cotonsport who signed him two years ago as a free agent.
Aziz won the MTN Elite One championship with the Northerners, but the team was very uninspiring last season as they finished out of the top two positions for the first time in decades, thus leading to the mass exodus of players.
A switch to Rwanda will provide a fresh opportunity for the skillful Winger to continue his development and why not inspire another club to domestic triumph as he did in his first season at Cotonsport.
He is expected to finalize negotiations this week, complete medical and sign for the club before joining his new colleagues in pre-season activities ahead of the new Rwanda Premier League season scheduled for September 2024 till May 2025.
Over the years, Cameroonians like Sampson Che, Solomon Banga, Willy Onana Andre, Apam Bemol have made a name for themselves in the Rwanda Premier League, thus paving way for new arrivals.
