Army Ladies secured a 2-1 win against former Ghana Women’s Premier League winners, Hasascas Ladies to emerge as the champions of the 2023 Ghana Women’s Premier Super Cup.
Army Ladies beat Berry Ladies 4-1 in the semi final which qualified the team for the final match.
After a 2-2 draw, Hasascas Ladies edged Faith Ladies WFC 3-1 on penalties in the other semi-final match.
In the final match on Sunday, Latiffa Mohammed ensured that fans are kept on the edge of their seats with the opener for Ghana Army Ladies in the second minute of action in Kyebi.
In the 16th minute, Hasascas Ladies responded with the equaliser from Fidous Yakubu from the penalty spot.
It took Harriet Adjetey’s 81st-minute strike to win the title for the army team.
Earlier on, Berry Ladies FC won the bronze medal match.
They recorded a 1-0 win against Faith Ladies WFC.
Christabel Boateng scored the winning goal for Berry Ladies in the 48th minute.
