Manchester United FC fans were made to wait on Wednesday evening as their club had to come from behind to beat relegated Sheffield United by 4-2 in a see-saw match day 33 Premier League fixture at the Old Trafford.

A brace from captain Bruno Fernandes added to goals from captain Harry Maguire and Hojlund in either half to help them to the victory to keep their quest for European football next season in a night Manchester United were lead twice.

An Onana judgement error handed the initiative to Sheffield United FC who took the lead after 35 minutes but Maguire made matters even before the pause.

United were in trouble again almost immediately after resumption when Brereton capitalized in a mixed up in the United backline to restore the visitors advantage and keep their dreams of a rare win at the Theater of Dreams alive.

The game then turn on its head when Bruno scored a brace within 20 minutes before Hojlund secured the three points with a goal five minutes before the end of regular playing time.

This time around United who threw away a two-goal lead against Coventry in the FA Cup semi-final held on to obtain their 16th win in 33 Premier League matches this term.

The result puts the Red Devils three points ahead of chasing Newcastle United and seven points away from 5th-placed Tottenham who have a game in hand.

Onana’s clean sheet tally remains at going into the final five games of the Premier League season while David Raya of Arsenal leading in that competition competition counts 13 and is favorite to win the golden gloves.

After the game, Andre Onana met new Indomitable Lions head coach Marc Brys, with whom they had a conversation about an undisclosed subject as part of the coach’s move to meet all players needed in the start of his tenure at the helm of the five-time African champions.

Elsewhere, Joel Matip’s Liverpool suffered a telling defeat to eternal rivals Everton in Merseyside derby that got the Toffees going more than the Reds.
