The 28-year-old’s intervention against Burnley was deemed the best in the Premier League for the period under consideration.
The Cameroon international has had a busy debut season at Manchester United, racking a staggering 137 saves in total – the second best tally in the Premier League. Those saves have seen Onana also keep eight clean sheets throughout the 2023/24 season too.
The save against Burnley earns him the Castrol sponsored award for the first time in his career.
The award is in the bag, Onana will now switch his attention to play a huge role in halting Arsenal’s Premier League campaign this weekend as he would be in goal for Manchester United in the must-win Premier League showdown at Old Trafford.
